About Me
Hi, my name is Melissa
I'm the founder of Reforming You, a health and wellness practice dedicated to helping women achieve optimal health, balance, and longevity.
Before becoming a National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) and a STOTT Certified Pilates Instructor, I spent over two decades in the pharmaceutical industry working in biostatistics, designing and analyzing data from clinical trials.
That experience shaped how I think about health.
I understand how to evaluate research, interpret analysis, and question what is not disclosed in the literature when results are discussed. I can also relate to the reality of high-performance environments, including managing teams, meeting deadlines, and sustaining focus under pressure.
My work with functional medicine physicians helped me manage my own health more holistically, particularly during demanding periods of my career. That experience now informs how I support clients.
I work with women who are navigating midlife changes while continuing to operate at a high level. These women need a clear, structured approach to maintaining their health without compromising performance.
My coaching integrates research, strategy, and accountability.
I help clients translate medical guidance and health information into practical, sustainable strategies that support energy, focus and long-term health.
This often includes addressing hormonal changes, metabolic health, bone density, and prevention of chronic conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and osteoporosis.
Pilates is a complementary part of my work.
I use it to support strength, alignment, resilience, and bone health, reinforcing the physical foundation and mind-body connection needed for long-term health.
It has also been central to my own life.
After suffering a severe herniated disc that led to a dropped foot, Pilates became the foundation of my recovery. That experience deepened my conviction: Pilates isn't just exercise — it's a critical component for the overall health of your body and mind.
My goal is straightforward:
To help women build a foundation for health that supports their work, their leadership, and their long- term well-being.
